He is a 35 knot low again

As of 2PM EDT on August 5th:
24.4N 65.8W 35 knots 1009 mb Level of Development: Low
6 hours previously he was defined as a wave. But, they did not change the development to tropical storm at that time. However, I'm not sure if they had enough sufficient recon at the time to make a judgment on whether it was a tropical storm or not. They had just reached the west winds and had not yet reached the rest of the wind field. They might have wanted to see if it had a well defined center first. We'll know in about an hour if advisories are written again. (I hope so, the NHC needs to throw Bobbi a discussion. ) |
