I can understand that, but I look at that aspect of all this like this... for instance the huge high pressure ridge over the eastern US forecasted by GFS..."wow, good thing for that huge ridge, it'll maybe wake up these east coast folks that a major hurricane COULD hit them this year" because so many of them live in la la land. Ask a random NYCer if they're worried about a Hurricane. MOST of them would prolly laugh at you.
Just the same people saying "earl" will make landfall in TX/Mexico are laughable as well. I think 5 - 7 days out is a good indicator of what one may expect the atmosphere to do, but by NO MEANS would I ever believ it's exactly what it will do. Thats rare. This goes for all weather, not just involving TC's. |
