Well, I just took a stroll to my local supermarket  on eastern Long Island for a loaf of bread and see what's going on. This was at 7pm. The store has about twice as many people as usual and the big thing is bottled water, gallon size and up Everybody is buying water. Second seems to be cases of fruit juice and canned sodas. Batteries are still available. The gas stations today were not busy, so no problem there yet. I get the impression these people wiere out to beat the crowds should conditions deteriorate tomorrow.
