| Totally! When I lived in Tampa, several monster storms passed around my area--most notably Ivan and Katrina. When those storms were in the gulf, the weather in Tampa was absolutely flawless. I loved watching those cirrus clouds stream in from the storm's outflow, knowing this was the outflow of a cat 5 hurricane. And the air/sky was always so still, the sunsets had a kind of morbid beauty to them, and other than those wisps of outflow the sky was clear as a window. Those were some surreal experiences.Truly eerie. I will never forget it. |
