Annular, that's the word I was looking for.
I forgot, a hurricane with no squalls is an annular hurricane.
If there is one thing more robust than an annular hurricane it is probably a huge eyed Cat 4 hurricane called Earl.
Never mind any dry air, shear, or fronts....
IMO, all Earl needs are SST's warmer than air above them now.
No, Earl is not so annular now.
Fiona provided him his squalls.
