Actually, one possibility I am thinking is as the front approaches, the low over the Great Lakes draws up moisture ahead of it from the GOM.

This destabilzes the air ahead of the front.  

Also tomorrow afternoon, if there is not much clound cover, daytime heating could destablize the air even more on Earl's west quad.

As you say, WISHE from the Gulf Stream will also aid with the in feed into Earl.

If all this comes together; Earl could have a good day tomorrow afternoon.
