sorry to hear of your damage, no fun. the houses around us that had damage were all 2 story homes (except the 1 a tree fell on) here's a map of Ike's wind swath, you can find others here: http://www.aoml.noaa.gov/hrd/Storm_pages/ike2008/wind.html - if you calculate your latitude/longitude you can see what your area received. I think in part of Cypress, a small tornado-like wind took out some power lines, but the rest of the sustained wind wasn't hurricane strength, at least not for us |
