The high in place in the south east is the protector shield for the conus. No storms will hit the conus until that high is gone. The problem is the south east is burning up. Here in south east TN, we haven't had any real measurable amounts of rain all summer. We still are breaking heat records as it was 95 degrees in Chattanooga Saturday. We are going through our fall pattern real early this year. A lot of trees have lost all there leaves and most 50%. We had a record breaking cold temps and snow last winter and know this summer extreme heat and very dry. All the CV storms are just for viewing pleasure so not to worry until the high breaks over the south. |
