I don't know Tim.
The solar magnetic field is linked to the earth's.
A coronal hole creates a conduit for protons and electrons to directly impact the earth.
There are new coronal holes now in the northern hemisphere.
Will be interesting to see if a major quake does occur in the northern hemisphere in the next couple days.
So far, these guys are having a damn good track record.
In general, their timing is maybe a day or two off from their predictions and magnitude calls a bit higher then the actual events.
However, I am very impressed for them nailing general regions.
Much better than no watches or warnings at all.
Critical thinking requires an open mind and being non-judgemental.
I am learning more.
