| two points on a continuum do not indicate a trend. Sure, there might be other things happening, and indeed, it could be a trend. We might be able to bring about some new ice age, but I'd think that trying to change climates so that they are colder might have unintended consequences. The slow down of the Atlantic conveyor belt where salt water is pushed poleward (as in the day after tomorrow) seems difficult. It seems like it would be difficult to get just the right levels of global temperature control. |
