I remember hearing about 30 years ago the story of the nuclear cows there.
During the Hydrogen-Bomb Bikini tests in the Pacific, cows were placed on an atoll.
Those that survived were taken back to Oak Ridge to study.
Over the years a heard of the descendants lived and roamed on the reserve.
One day, someone was driving along at about 60mph through the reserve and hit one of them that was standing on the road.
The driver said almost immediately the cow got back up and ran back to the herd with apparently no injuries.
