850mb vorticity was lacking this morning but has popped back up due to updraft from the persistent showers.

Good anti-cyclone over head.

Consistent steady convection creates latent heating in the upper troposphere which down the road generates a warm core.

MIMIC-TPW has been looking really good ever since it came off Africa.
