What happens if this thing doesn't start moving soon?

According to the NHC, Emily is supposed to be clearing Cuba in some 16 hours. By dinner time tonight she's supposed to be north of Haiti. By my calculations, she has to start moving at about 20mph within the next hour for that to happen. Our local meteorologist this morning said by 11 am this thing should start trucking north. Now the NHC and the major models haven't exactly had a good couple of days. If you've been outside of the cone, you've been a target.  But what's the scenario if this latest trough is unable to pull her far enough north?

Another thing I'm noticing is the stationary movement is allowing 2 things to happen: a) The mountains of Hispanola are kicking this thing's butt right now, and on visible she's taking a bit of a beating.  She's not looking good, and the center's hard to find. b) The island is taking an unfortunate battering with rain.
