I'm thinking it's because the system is so weak, and she's looking very weak right now despite what some say. Weaker system tend to drift west, and troughs usually have to dig down pretty deep to pick it up. Stronger storms are usually more easily influenced by upper air patterns.
Maybe someone can confirm that's what is happening here. She's basically taken the ridge as far as she can til she's run out of gas. She needs either a trough to dig down deeper or another ridge to build in to give her a push. |
