It's a matter of how you say it, isn't it?  Not really much has changed.  We knew Emily would be weakened by Hisp/Cuba.  Maybe we thought she would be stronger by the time she got there, but there were never any indications of that.  The fact that the weakening dropped her below the TS threshhold doesn't change the fact that there is a feature about to ride up the east coast of Florida with possible strengthening (okay...organization) possible.  The models are still bouncing a bit and there will be lots of "restarts" on this discussion if the UK bounces back to the west along with the GFDL today.  I'd bet on just that.

What happened, and is happening, is exactly what we have been saying for days and days...only the intensity is just a little lower both before and after first landfall.  Recovery and current track are still to be determined.  "Dissipation", even when spelled correctly, is more a matter of placement on the scale....it's not GONE.  Now, it may be a fish, but that's a different thing.
