Yes, it is. And I am right in the middle of it in Dallas. True story: people were talking on local radio today about the success they've had BAKING COOKIES ON THE DASH BOARDS OF THEIR CARS! Yes, seriously. One guy apparently is baking pizzas on the pavement. With heat waves like this, who needs electric stoves?
That's ONE way to keep the power grid from blowing out.

Sure does give new meaning to the term "street food," eh?
