Thank Goodness there's not high pressure over this thing. This is right around where Katrina blew up for the first time and moved across South Florida and into the Gulf, where the water is 90 degrees right now. That's right....not a typo....90 degrees.

But there's no high pressure. A trough should pull this north here pretty soon. It may graze Florida and give the state a little bit of rain, but although the models have not been great with this thing, they won't be that far off in a 12-hour forecast. This thing will likely be a TS again, but should stay off the US coast.
