They are almost never right. Forecasters use long range models to look at trends not specifics. As amateur storm trackers they are good entertainment. I wish the models could predict with accuracy 2 weeks out, it would save lives and money. But all they can do is show us how the overall atmosphere may be conducive or not conducive to development and possible upper level track scenarios. I'm as good as a 384 hr model when it comes to forecasting if that says anything |
