7 years, wow....from the bull's eye of Charley
I brought my only child down here from USF in Tampa to be "safe". Thanks to this site, and Jim W, I had info sooner than most of the turn to hit punta gorda. Three generations of my family weathered the storm at my mother-in-laws condo down the street and directly on charlotte harbor..Rolls Landing, we were one of only two condos not seriously damaged among 10 buildings. It was amazing, I have a video of the whole event including my mother-in-law, in the eye of the storm, asking us if we wanted mayo and tomatoeson the chichen sandwhiches she was making for us.
Honest to god, those were the best sandwhiches i ever ate,
Funny what you remember.
