this may seem odd coming from someone who went thru the eye of Charley but we decided NOT to pay for windstorm insurance; only fire and liability. This has saved us 2 thousand a year. We are fortunately able to do this because we do not have a mortgage. But we are playing the odds........we went thru Charley with less than 80,000 in damage so we thought, realistically, what are the odds we would go thru another Cat 4? And,even if we did, we hope our house is"hurricane tested". Anyone else taking this chance/ patricia |
