I agree with Jake........Irene is moving more west and moving a little faster. I see some pressure rises along the southeast U.S. and Atlantic. I feel the small surface high behind the exiting trough may build in before the next shorthwave trough in a few days. I feel Irene may still be a threat to Florida even though the cone is not touching Florida. This is going to be a close call.
Look at the pressure readings on the satellite loop north of the storm........I see pressure rises.
