Ok, Irene has moved away from Puerto Rico. Today has been the worst! Feeder banks are dumping catastrophic amounts of rain. The call of the day has been landslides, and all mayor rivers and tributaries are overflowing their banks in catastrofic and historic ways. Towns that never had flood problems are being evacuated before nighfall. We even had a tornado move in from the Central region up to the North. These rains have been worse than with Georges, Hortense, TS Jeanne, or any other atmospheric event in the past 50 years.
Everyone in Irene's path - stay safe!!!! |
