This is not good to hear. I'm so sorry! I hope you stay safe and that people are able to be safe there! This is unfolding pretty epically. The next week looks nasty. The truth of the matter is this could be a historic event unfolding or a huge false alarm. At this time, the logic in mean thinks this is not a good situation however the reality of what could happen makes me hope the ridge will weaken alot and that the trough is deep and fast enough to prevent an epic disaster along the east coast of the US.

She is a LARGE system. She is deciving on visible because she looks like a good sized cane but she's deceptive because her southern end is not fully developed as dry air from the mountains is keeping her southerly components at bay from achieving large scale ascent and thus convective development. If or when she becomes at cat 4 or 5 (not ruling this out with that ocean water and enviornment) She's also more likely than not going to be monsterous in size. Even the eye staying 60 miles off shore will bring haverick to much of the east coast if these latest models are an indication.

TWC has potential flooding for rains in a red warning box for Albany NY in their local weather. It's very alarming. The porjected ....

She just came on a big visible loop on TWC. She is HUGE and not even a major cane yet. Look at how her southern and western components are underveloped relative to her north and east. She's nasty guys.
