First, media these days is more for entertainment and propaganda then for getting out the facts.
Second, this may be the richest country in the world but a small minority have most of that wealth. I volunteer at a place where many people who need help do not have TV's, internet, etc. And a $100.00 smart phone is out of the question for them since they are coming in to get canned goods. Unfortunately, those that have been blessed often live in their own little bubble and do not realize how many do not have these things.
If the storm caused your loved one's death or flooded your home it was a bad storm for you. And always better to be prepared than sorry you were not.
And one other note...our nation likes to "complain" about EVERYTHING.
I am just grateful the storm wasn't any worse than it was.
