Over 40 inches fell in Panacea and Sopchoppy, the data below comes from the referenced weather stations on Weather Underground.  We have friends who have been and are waiting to be evacuated.  My secretary has a house along the river on 16 ft pilings and water is within a foot of her door and rising.  They are trying to get an airboat in to pick her and her husband up.  The only gauging station on the Sopchoppy stopped sending out signals last night when the river got about a foot over the record high, and that was before the worst of the rainfall. Unfortunately the Sopchoppy usually takes a couple of days after a heavy rain to peak, so more damage is coming.

My brother is a volunteer fireman in Panacea, he spent the night doing rescues.

We spent the night in Panacea, did not turn out to be a good choice for evacuation, but we did stay dry, if only barely.  We had to move our cars to high ground and wade back to the place we were staying, and then the water rose to within a few inches of the floor, but it is back down now.  We are back on Alligator Point, safe and dry, and waiting for the water to drop a bit more so we can use the plumbing, our septic system is  underwater.  A minor inconvenience compared to what others are dealing with.

Panacea (MPRWF1)
Sunday 4.33 inches
Monday 21.52 inches
Today 19.68 inches
Total 45.53

Sanborn, Sopchoppy (MSNDF1)
Sunday 4.45 inches
Monday 20.10 inches
Today 20.51 inches
Total 45.06
