Thanks, guys.  Yea, when a system is this ragged it is very difficult to make out in the short run what is going on as far as direction and etc...    I concur with the thought that the worst of the brutal rain and surge will be far from the center in the early going.  If Isaac gets cranking later on we may be dealing with one of thos cat. one storms with the far reaching effect of a three or four storm like Ike.  That stor wiped out Bolivar Peninsula East of Galveston.
