pcola52 I am, spoke to a local farmer about Isaac the farmer said "Tampa storm it will sit off shore for a few creating havoc, we should get 3 - 5 days heavy rain, " it is 97 that worries me".  It will be interesting to see how this plays out.   Talk about being ready they have almost 4 weeks of supplies.

Will_TX cane season '04 and '05 were very nasty to FL, 4 land falling canes in "04 and 3 land falling canes' 05.   In fact for a while  the official  FL  web site had a picture if FL with plywood boards covering the state.



2004 Charley, Frances, Ivan & Jeanne.  2005 Dennis, Katrina, Ophelia (see below) &Wilma.

Ophelia sat off the space coast area and churned away making a nasty mess if things.  

While Wilma was slamming Cozumel, Mexico part of her brook off and came to N. Central FL as a nasty storm I'll never forget,  I was driving down a road after the storm passed when a tree branch hit my windshield, bounced on my hood and landed directly in front of my car (no time to stop etc.)  Gave me quite a scare, one cracked windshield, one dented hood and one &*#%ed up front end not safe to drive and me an adrenalin rush.  I suggested the home owner clean out their dead trees.  What did they do???????????  Nothing, there are still dead trees in their back yard that faces the road.
