| I'm in Sarasota about 4 miles from the Gulf in a Zone D evacuation zone. We are not planning to evacuate. We have two dogs which makes it more difficult. I am in a frame house surrounded by pines, palms and oaks which makes me a little nervous, but they all got hurricane cuts a month ago (after Debby) so hopefully that will do the trick. We used to live in South Tampa and when Charley was approaching, a lot of people went to Orlando to evacuate and got caught in the storm, while those who stayed home didn't see the storm at all. |
