And then there is this little tidbit buried way down near the bottom of the 5 p.m.:

IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THE GLOBAL MODELS ARE
FORECASTING A VERY FAVORABLE PATTERN OF UPPER-LEVEL WINDS OVER THE
NORTHERN GULF OF MEXICO BY 72 HR.  SHOULD THIS VERIFY AND SHOULD
ISAAC ESTABLISH AN INNER CORE...THE CYCLONE COULD BE SIGNIFICANTLY
STRONGER THAN CURRENTLY FORECAST.

A lotta "shoulds," I realize, but it's the first mention of the possibility of a major, and I'm not discounting it.  We'll be outta here Monday afternoon.
