Commander Fleet Activities Okinawa

Turn, turn, turn .... TURN!!!

OK, here's my plan. We all meet on the east side of Okinawa this morning and blow really hard.

The Rain God is doing almost everything the forecasters have predicted. It has slowed. It has strengthened. BUT IT HASN'T TURNED! Prapiroon's track is now showing a closest point of approach to Okinawa of around 270 miles - not that close really, but a hundred miles closer than projected yesterday morning. Our weather prognosticators are still optimistically prattling about "steering mechanisms" and "near-equatorial ridges", but .... It's. Not. Turning.


If Prapiroon continues to NOT do what it's forecast to do, it will NOT miss Okinawa and NOT pass harmlessly to the east in a few days. We MIGHT get a visit from the Thai Rain God (who, I'm told, is Thor's second cousin and member of the West Pacific Superhero Team, "The Annoyers") early next week. I won't commit any further than that now, but I'll keep spamming your Facebook account until we know.
