If the front were to somehow leave it behind, then something could change, but otherwise it will just be something interesting to watch, a naked swirl trying to generate something at the center only to have it all sheared off. It finally waits until tangling with the front before it tries anything. Shear is winning so far, and that seems likely to continue.
The rain makes it cooler around here, well, the highs anyway, so I don't mind. It takes a lot of rain to become too much of a problem for the region, so being that we're getting to the dry season we might as well get some. At least Texas got some this time around. Our region doesn't really need it, but I'm sure early next year I'll be complaining about the lack of rain and having to water the yard. It's always nice to go the entire summer without having to water the yard and the longer I can go the better. Three large magnolia trees were planted just outside the front entrance to my neighborhood during the period it was dry for a bit in the last month and every single leaf turned brown. Hopefully a little rain can maybe save them. |
