For social media, you probably already follow a lot of the NOAA sites:

I follow these local meteologists in Tampa on Facebook:

They have a lot of great information during hurricane season.

I don't use Twitter so much. I only follow some official government agencies:

I'll be off soon to see who I can get pictures of and meet at Tampa's airport where the hurricane hunters are today. I want to try to meet the NHC director. So I might add some stuff to Facebook later.
