Chris,

I just had a look at shear potential and steering winds and thisa is what I feel is going on:

right now the area in which this invest is tracking is not at all conductive with dry air to the North and West of it not to mention the shearing winds as if treks further west are very high to support anything right now, but then again it is these sleeper systems that you have to watch, I don't think that this invest will head into the gulf and the steering winds show that it will eventually turn out to sea much like the GFS is saying, should it develop.
