latest gfs run wants to keep this system real week until it gets close to the central gulf coast, like you have said chris gfs is not to good on intensity forecasting, the water temp are in the upper 80s in the western carribbean and gulf so I have a hard time believing it wont develop until hour 228 like it is showing, each run seems to be shifting 96l further east, it could get real interesting soon |
