You know me, I actually asked, lol. When one of the hurricane hunters told me they were going to try to launch it into a storm soon after having tested it I asked if data would be available.
He described it as a self contained system they are testing, not available to be ingested into their aircraft data system. (I guess it has its own system to pick up the data from the drone onboard the plane.) At least it is not available yet. It may be possible in the future.
As for an interpretation of the results they did get, I'm not sure when or where that might be available. I'm guessing papers will probably be written as these drones were supposed to go to places that a plane can't safely fly to. (closer to the ocean's surface)
I'm not sure if they are testing any more this year. That might have been all they had. |
