Welcome.  I want to say Hurricane Ike,  I could very well be wrong.  " Ike made landfall over the north end of Galveston Island in the early morning hours of September 13 as a Category 2 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 110 mph."  For more information go to the link below.  I think Fred will have the answer.  I hope your post is answered correctly soon..

If I am correct Sandy was an extra tropical storm not a hurricane at landfall.  No that does not change the fact the damage was horrendous.
