Thanks again for all the valuable info, Chris.  You're a treasure.

I see tonight the NHC"s tropical update site is back up, and looking completely different.  So they must've been doing the upgrade to the new format.  Wow, that's one skinny-looking cone of uncertainty!  We knew it was coming, but it's rather shocking, in a way, to see in reality.
