Re: Am I reading Euro 00Z Right on Strength

Ahh, I understand now.  Yes, we are in agreement with the intensification vs. initialization, but obviously the Euro is more more conservative, therefore at 96hrs I am skeptical of how she will behave given each model sees nearly a 2 category difference in atmosphere.

I think 930mb is about right after having interacted somewhat with the greater antilles.  But who knows.  It could bottom out catastrophically as some of the other models were thinking.  If that happens, then I don't think we can count on the Euro track exclusively.  The storm will perhaps move more west before the turn, etc?  Remember deeper storms follow deeper isobars.

It's splitting hairs again though I suppose and we won't know until she enters the straights.  She will want to wobble all over the place when she leaves the western boundary, is larger, and re-intensifies.  Nightmare to track.
