Is it Cape Verde season yet?

The End of Aug is here and I find myself watching the African coast knowing that "Cape Verde is coming" (LOL yes a little Game of Thrones humor there)
I guess as you would say the tropics are being watched for the wave coming off the coast of Africa that is predicted to become Florence and be a fish storm, but honestly, do we know that for sure. Things change, as do the conditions. As we come up on the peak of the season, we are always watching those waves and asking if they will make it to the mainland as a TC.
Speaking of,.... Bobbistorm, you had a great blog posted today. Just read it. Love your thoughts on things and totally agree with you. I may not have a degree in meteorology, but heck if this isn't a great hobby to have learning about the weather and watching it. :)
