The model only goes out as far as that image for now. It's not clear it would be steered into the US after that if that scenario was the one that played out exactly. But 10 days out is too far out right now. That position could be 500 miles off or more.

High pressure is moving at that point in the model. Upper levels:

Too far out to know what's more likely, but always a good time to remind people that it is hurricane season, even in the NE. If people didn't do things they should have had done in June, now is the time. (including tree trimming)
