Chris in Tampa is right. The NHC warns not to be fooled by the lower inner core winds. The hurricane wind-field has expanded greatly. More than 5,000 square miles will get greater than 74 MPH winds (the red area and maybe some of the green area on the map). That's a lot of destruction. Not to mention the 10-20 foot storm surge plus 2 feet of rain and no power for weeks. You still have a chance to evacuate if you live in this area. Tomorrow morning is your last chance to do so.
