A NOAA observing site at Cape Lookout, North Carolina, recently reported a sustained wind of 68 mph (109 km/h) and a gust to 85 mph (137 km/h). A private weather station in Davis, North Carolina, recently reported a sustained wind of 61 mph (98 km/h) and a wind gust of 67 mph (108 km/h). A Weatherflow station at Fort Macon, North Carolina, recently reported a sustained wind of 54 mph (87 km/h) and a wind gust of 78 mph (126 km/h).
