Just something I need to get off my mind and this bugs the living crap out of me. But if you have a system way out in the Atlantic, not affecting anyone but the sea lanes and they name a storm subtropical...."insert name here". Why do we need to name a system subtropical if it's not going to affect any land or anything and then go poof out in the middle of the Atlantic? I mean why is the NHC having to name all these storms that really don't need a name? Can someone please explain this to me. I can understand a names system if it's going to affect land, but out in the middle of the ocean and then sit there and go poof? scratches head |
