From a quick glance from other sites too, it seems like people should check their policy to see if a named subtropical storm counts under a NHC named storm policy. There may be confusion over that. Some policies might explicitly state that subtropical storms counts and others might be vague enough, saying hurricane and tropical storms, that it may not apply. And of course this relates to whether wind coverage for a subtropical named storm applies, not flood coverage which would be separate.
