I still wasn't able to figure it out. I did come up with something that is imperfect for now.
When the knots equal 134.6, which is what the system seems to receive from HamWeather when the public advisory has 135 knots, the system will force the mph to be 154.4 mph rather than 154.9mph. (In some places it will be 154mph rather than 155mph) That will make it a category 4 on the map. Somewhere, 154.5mph is the point at which the storm is considered a category 5. I can figure out where to make that change to force it to be a category 4, but after that point I can't yet tell where the script goes to try and fix whatever range it is using. There only seems to be one place where the range is and that doesn't seem to be where the script is determining it when it comes to the images that are created and the popup that appears when you hover your mouse over a little dot on the image. |
