This thing is pretty far South. It's got a lot of obstacles to go over to survive. First thing is it needs to survive some dry air over the next 72 hours and that will limit development. Then it needs to avoid land. I don't think it's going to make that big north jump that some models are suggesting. I think it stays a little more westerly and take more of a southern route like the GFS and CMC are suggesting, and then get destroyed by Haiti and Eastern Cuba where the mountains will absolutely kill this sucker. Those mountains in East Cuba are like a brick wall for any storm trying to pass over it. They're massive.
