Dropsondes are about half second gusts i'm pretty sure. But still...

All sondes:

Now for the high sonde:
http://tropicalatlantic.com/recon/recon.cgi?basin=al&year=2019&product=sonde&storm=Dorian&mission=26&agency=NOAA&ob=09-01-0119-16-955-170-155

Surface Wind: 178mph

Maximum Wind from Significant Wind Levels: 196mph (not at surface)

I thought this was what they normally went with to be honest:

Average Wind Over Lowest Available 150 geopotential meters (gpm) of the sounding:
- Lowest 150m: 160 gpm - 10 gpm (525 geo. feet - 33 geo. feet)
- Wind Direction: 325 (from the NW)
- Wind Speed: 151 knots (174 mph)

I am very shocked.
