I'll tweet him shortly. I only have the raw images that have to be put on a map with certain bounds to view them properly. To view a proper GIF, I would need to take a screenshot of each and every image in the mapped display, with all the images the same size. For all 1,291 images. Maybe I'll save that part for later.
For anyone that wants to view the radar, the permanent archived home is here: http://tropicalatlantic.com/historical/radars/2019/dorian/bahamas/ And again, still working on the flicker. Though once the images load, it does it less so. I think the alternative it to load all the images on the map and then hide every one but the image not the one you are looking at. As is, I kind of load and unload the images 1 at a time. I think the causes the flicker on load, even after the image is cached. But loading 34.6 megabytes of images into the map at one time might crash the browser. Haven't tried that yet but will later offline. |
