I'm no expert and hope some who are will respond, but from where I sit I don't think anyone really knows until this disturbance emerges over the Gulf and we see how fast it spins up, IF it spins up. At the moment, the models seem to indicate nothing deeper than a tropical depression or possibly tropical storm, somewhere between Apalachicola and the Mississippi/Louisiana line, either close to land or further out in the Gulf..

In other words, too early to tell.

So far, FWIW, both NWS Mobile and Weather.com seem to indicate Sunday will be the stormiest day of the weekend. But again, it's just too early to forecast with a lot of confidence.

I know this doesn't help much, pcola, sorry. Stay tuned. Good that you're watching! (Aren't we all!?)
