That will be a nice fit since he already creates data for around the world. JTWC data has always been a little more difficult to get. Maybe he will improve some of what they offer and its availability. But that seems like it would be the perfect job for him since he does have a lot of experience with working with data from storms around the world.

Later this year I am writing my model system to allow best track data and model data from cyclones around the world using JTWC data in basins other than the ones the NHC/CPHC is responsible for.

Most recently I have been working on upgrading charts in the model and recon systems from Flash to JavaScript.

Wind diagram example:
http://hurricanecity.com/models/models.cgi?basin=al&year=2020&storm=31&display=wind_diagram&run=2020111612

Pressure diagram example:
http://hurricanecity.com/models/models.cgi?basin=al&year=2020&storm=31&display=pressure_diagram&run=2020111612

Model error diagram example:
http://hurricanecity.com/models/models.cgi?basin=al&year=2020&storm=31&display=model_error&error_type=average&latestrun=1&type=chart

I haven't replaced dropsonde diagrams yet for the recon system. I haven't worked on that at all yet. I have something I found online that kind of does what I want and I will need to adapt it.

One nice feature with the new charts that I added is the ability to save the chart as an image. It all seems to work in modern browsers but if anyone has any issues, let me know.
